On July 18, 2016 Filip Pošćić joined the UKF spec-T-oil team as post-doc.
He received his Master Degree in Biology – specialization in Molecular Biology in 2007 from University of Trieste (Italy) with a dissertation entitled “Nucleotide diversity in coding and regulatory regions in maize”. He received his PhD in Economics, Ecology and Preservation of Agricultural and Landscape-Environmental Systems – curricula Ecology in 2012 from University of Udine (Italy) with a PhD dissertation entitled “Metal tolerance and ecological characterization in populations of a pseudometallophyte Biscutella laevigata L”.
In 2011 he was a visiting PhD student at Vrije University, Amsterdam (Netherlands). From 2012 to 2016 he had postdoctoral research fellows in (i) phytoremediation and tolerance of copper and hexavalent chromium, (ii) silver toxicity, and (iii) effects of cerium oxide nanoparticles in crops.
His research interests include research on element homeostasis and evolution of hyperaccumulators. He participated in different projects and he was a winner of a research grant for young scientist on nanoparticles and plants interactions in 2013 at the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences of University of Udine.
He has co-authored nine Peer-Reviewed papers in international journals, two book chapters and about ten conference proceedings papers. He is reviewer for several international journals.
